About The Position

The Housekeeper keeps the community clean and safe for residents, families, associates, and visitors. The role includes cleaning resident apartments and common areas, handling residents’ personal laundry, and washing bed linens and towels. Housekeepers respond to requests and housekeeping concerns, maintain carts and supplies safely, communicate with supervisors and associates, and complete required monthly in-service education.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to bend, reach, and work in small areas.
Able to push and pull equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned resident apartments, including bathrooms, kitchen areas, surfaces, exposed floors, and the inside of windows.
Clean common areas such as halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model apartments.
Clean vacant apartments as assigned and ensure public restrooms are clean.
Maintain housekeeping and laundry carts, ensuring chemicals are properly secured.
Wash and dry laundry, including residents’ personal laundry, using appropriate products.
Respond to requests and address housekeeping-related concerns.
Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state regulations and company policies.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor or department head.
Follow emergency procedures for chemical misuse and properly handle bio-hazardous waste.
Maintain a clean laundry room and store chemicals according to proper procedures.
Use safe practices when cleaning throughout the community.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and associates, and advise supervisors when supplies need to be ordered or concerns arise.
Provide an outstanding customer experience for residents and visitors.
