About The Position

UPMC Presbyterian Hospital is hiring a full-time Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) for its Transplant ICU. The role supports patients, families, and clinical staff through bedside, stocking, and administrative tasks, helping provide a smooth and compassionate hospital experience from arrival to discharge. Duties include guiding visitors, delivering meals, transporting patients, and managing supplies. This is a non-clinical role and does not include bathing, mobility assistance, or administering medical care. The Transplant ICU is a 12-bed critical care unit caring primarily for patients who have received kidney, liver, pancreas, intestine, islet cell, or multi-visceral transplants. The unit also cares for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, surgical oncology patients undergoing complex abdominal surgery, and patients with multi-system organ failure. The position offers exposure to a diverse patient population and opportunities for learning and professional growth. The position is 36 hours per week, scheduled 9 a.m.–9 p.m., with availability required on weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour; the final title and rate are determined by experience and education.

Requirements

High school diploma, active enrollment in a high school/GED program, or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.
Demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to provide an exceptional experience for patients and families.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, with renewal.
Act 33, with renewal.
Act 34 clearance.
Act 73 FBI Clearance, with renewal.
