About The Position

Seeking a Patient Experience Liaison/Customer Service professional for a part-time position (48 hours biweekly) at Baptist Health Floyd. This role is focused on creating a welcoming environment for patients and visitors, particularly in the surgery waiting area. The liaison will act as the primary contact, assessing needs, directing individuals to appropriate services, and serving as a communication link between the surgical team and patients/families. The position also involves assisting with other Patient Experience (PEX) projects and initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience. This is an opportunity to work in a regional, non-profit community hospital known for its excellent working environment and commitment to continued education and growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment for all those entering the hospital seeking care or service.
  • Act as the primary contact for those entering the surgery waiting area.
  • Seek to understand the needs of individuals and direct them to the appropriate area for registration, waiting, surgeon consultation, etc.
  • Proactively assess the needs of those in the surgery waiting area and appropriately address such needs.
  • Act as the communication conduit between the surgical services team and patients or patient family members.
  • Assist with other PEX projects/initiatives to support the overall experience of those who receive services at Baptist Health Floyd.
