Requirements

  • Must be able to organize patient information
  • Basic addition and subtraction mathematics skills
  • Proven typing skills
  • Ability to multitask such as: answering phones, greeting patients, entering information in a computer system
  • Possess good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively with co-workers and the public

Nice To Haves

  • Certification/Registered as a Medical Assistant or higher
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Fluency in language other than English

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone
  • Correctly schedule patients for with either new or return visits for all services and locations.
  • Correctly collect new patient information
  • Correctly apply the refill protocol as needed
  • Correctly schedule double books per policy
  • Understand and support provider/patient panels
  • Serve as a backup to PEC1 as needed/requested
  • PEC2’s will be crossed training on all PEC1 functions to allow for cross coverage in the front office as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
