About The Position

The Patient Escort transports patients and patient equipment throughout Bon Secours Anderson Hospital, providing excellent service to support a safe and comfortable healing environment. This is a part-time position with day, evening, and night shifts available. The listed shift is 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The role requires passing a background check and drug screen and providing proof of U.S. employment eligibility.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Be CPR certified by the American Heart Association or obtain certification through HHS.
Have a GED or high school diploma.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.
Be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including continuous standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing or pulling carts or equipment weighing over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Patient transportation experience.
Experience in cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, healthcare, patient care, or equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Transport patients in wheelchairs, hospital beds, or on stretchers.
Work with nursing staff, medical staff, and other hospital departments to support excellent patient satisfaction.
Demonstrate cooperation, patience, excellent communication, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Clean and disinfect patient transport equipment to help ensure patient safety.
Follow HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
