The NF1 PN and HPP Patient Education Manager (PEM) is an empathetic and trusted educational resource for patients and families. The role engages the local NF1 and HPP patient community through one-to-one meetings, delivers branded and unbranded patient education through programs, and partners with local and regional advocacy groups in close collaboration with Alexion’s Patient Advocacy team. The position helps raise awareness of disease burden, progression, and treatment; refers patients and caregivers to Case Managers for support when starting Alexion therapy; and connects the community with local advocacy networks and approved resources throughout the treatment journey. The role develops a regional patient engagement plan with Patient Advocacy and brand marketing, coordinates compliant local outreach with cross-functional partners, and educates patients, caregivers, and families about NF1, HPP, treatments, and patient support programs. It also delivers in-person or virtual educational events, works with RAMS to educate offices about the PEM role and OneSource, builds a network of advocates, and tracks and communicates progress against data-driven objectives. The territory may include Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Travel is 60–80% and may include evenings and weekends.
