Patient Dining Associate
About The Position
The Patient Dining Associate performs patient meal service for the Department of Food and Nutrition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The role serves patients on assigned units and includes menu selection, tray assembly, meal delivery and retrieval, catering rounds, recording meal and calorie intake, handling special requests, maintaining galley and floor stock, and delivering nourishment. The associate communicates with nursing to obtain updated diet orders and responds to the needs of patients, families, and nursing staff. The position is full-time and requires availability for both AM and PM shifts, as well as rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Deliver patient meals to assigned areas, document meals and calorie intake, and round on patients according to department expectations.
- Assemble meal trays and menus in accordance with guidelines.
- Communicate patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team.
- Maintain an organized and stocked galley.
