About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care. The role assists patients with daily needs, helps monitor their condition and supports care plans while contributing to a safe, welcoming environment. Through attentive, empathetic teamwork, the PCT helps promote patient comfort, dignity and recovery.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
No experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
