Patient Care Technician | Emergency Department | Full Time | Day Shift
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works in the Emergency Department, providing hands-on care, comfort, and technical support to patients. Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the technician facilitates patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, helping maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures. The role works alongside nurses and other emergency care team members to support patients with varied needs and contribute to safe and efficient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Requirements
- Post-high-school specialized training required.
- BLS required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
- CNA certification or State of Florida EMT license preferred.
Responsibilities
