About The Position

Highpoint Health Sumner is hiring a Patient Care Technician for its Med-Surg Telemetry unit on a PRN night schedule. The role supports the facility’s mission of making communities healthier by providing direct patient care and helping patients with daily activities. The technician observes and records patient behavior and activities, reports changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff, and may suggest treatment-plan modifications. The position also assists with point-of-care testing and EKGs as needed, performs IV starts, and inserts urinary Foley catheters. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; candidates with a State of Tennessee CNA license may be considered without a high school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

State of Tennessee CNA license preferred.
One year of certified nurse technician or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities
