About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the ICU at Las Palmas Medical Center, you will support Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team. You will provide hands-on, non-medicated patient care and help create a safe, welcoming environment. Your care and teamwork support patients’ comfort, dignity, and recovery. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
• Assist with daily patient needs such as vital signs and personal care.
