About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you’ll perform delegated patient care activities and provide direct, hands-on patient care. Patient Care Technicians spend significant time with patients, helping build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. You’ll work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the hospital and gain exposure to a variety of patient populations and care environments. Night shift opportunities are available. Travel is required never or rarely.
Requirements
- Have an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana, or prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care healthcare organization, or be a nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals, or have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
