Patient Care Technician(Ortho/ Med/Surg) (Evergreen)
About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you perform delegated patient care activities and provide compassionate, person-centered support. You spend substantial time with patients, helping build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery. You work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the hospital and may encounter a variety of patient populations and care environments. This role is at Franciscan Health Munster Campus in Munster, Indiana. Full-time day and night shift opportunities are available. Minimum starting pay is $18.02. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
- Prior Patient Care Technician experience in another acute-care healthcare organization.
- Completion of the Franciscan PCT In-training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association; Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
