Patient Care Technician - Full Time - Nights - Intermediate Care Unit

About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff and assists with patient care, providing support to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This full-time, night-shift position is in the Intermediate Care Unit at Methodist Southwest Medical Center, a 314-bed acute care teaching hospital serving southwestern Dallas County.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following: one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; graduation from a certified nursing assistant program; graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant program; nursing student who has documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program; documented military experience as a medic or corpsman; foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the United States; or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
