Requirements

• Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• Skills necessary to care for patients.
• Heart saver certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant or related experience preferred.
• Current or former state CNA certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire.
• Current or former CMA certification as proof of completed required training at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and informs appropriate personnel, patients and family members of pertinent information in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate paper and electronic documentation.
• Utilizes equipment and supplies safely and appropriately; orders supplies as needed; labels specimens correctly.
• Performs basic nursing care, simple and complex procedures, multiple treatments, waived testing and transports assigned patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
