About The Position
The Patient Care Technician in the Pulse Heart Institute Float Pool supports patient care across the hospital and travels between locations, working with a variety of facilities and staff. The role combines basic nursing care, patient transportation, and clerical functions to support patient health outcomes. It also involves developing age-appropriate nursing care expertise, using clerical and communication skills, and collaborating to support patient care and services. The position is listed at 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour day shifts and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure.
- Current BLS Certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous patient care experience is preferred.
- Previous Health Unit Coordinator experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
- Assist with basic nursing care, patient transportation, and clerical functions.
- Provide care to patients across diverse ethnic and social groups using strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate with a health care practitioner or registered nurse to provide comprehensive, quality care.
