DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its services to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services (DSD). This initiative aims to provide clinical quality to SNF residents who require dialysis, reducing the burden of frequent transportation and healthcare costs. DSD teammates will leverage DaVita's resources to develop and grow this new service line, working autonomously and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role involves direct patient care, ensuring safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatments. It requires multitasking, critical thinking, and constant monitoring of patients before, during, and after dialysis, including measuring vital signs and setting up hemodialysis machines. Training is provided through DaVita's award-winning programs, which may include classroom and hands-on learning in a facility or training clinic. Hours may vary during training, typically between 32-40 hours per week. Teammates may also be asked to support other local SNF locations.
