About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The PCT assists patients with daily needs, helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to comfort, dignity, and recovery.

The role includes helping prepare and move patients, providing non-medicated care, maintaining clean and organized patient areas, managing supplies and equipment, and communicating with patients, families, and the care team. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. No travel or previous experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
