About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is part of a collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. The PCT contributes to patients’ comfort and dignity through attention, empathy, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• No experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
