About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team at Methodist Hospital Landmark. The role supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. PCTs assist with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, transfers, and personal care, while helping nurses monitor conditions and carry out care plans. The position calls for attention, empathy, and teamwork to support patient comfort, dignity, safety, and recovery.

Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
No experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
Assist with daily patient needs, including vital signs and personal care.
