About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at LaVeta Surgical Center. The role supports patient safety and efficient center operations by protecting patients from injury, operating equipment safely, following procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations, adhering to standard precautions, and helping improve patient flow and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successfully complete a BLS course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, or thermal sources.
• Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, and follow procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
• Adhere to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Proactively optimize opportunities to enhance the flow and efficiency of the center.
