About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, you will be a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment. You will assist with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and help RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. The role calls for attention, empathy, and teamwork to help restore patients’ comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
• One year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
