This 7-week accelerated training program combines classroom instruction, hands-on skill labs and on-the-job training in a clinical practice. The training satisfies the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Individuals selected for the program will be employed as PCTs during training. Tuition funding is provided by BJC HealthCare. A minimum 1-year employment commitment to Barnes Jewish Hospital is required upon completion. The program is a partnership with St. Charles Community College and will take place from June 22 – August 2, 2026. Training and long-term placement location options include: Barnes St. Peter's Hospital, Progress West Hospital.
