About The Position

This immersive program is designed to build a strong foundation in claims handling, including investigation, documentation, and resolution. Participants will collaborate with seasoned professionals on real-world cases, developing essential skills in customer service, negotiation, and decision-making. The program also includes training in industry tools, compliance standards, and best practices. Daily learning activities involve gathering and documenting First Notice of Loss (FNOL) details, requesting and analyzing information from various sources to validate claims, and beginning to investigate and settle claims under supervision. Participants will also gain an understanding of liability assessment, coverage determination based on policy terms, and working knowledge of the company's products, services, and customer support strategies. This program offers a dynamic entry point into a rewarding career for individuals who have studied risk management & insurance, business, finance, or related fields.

Requirements

  • Graduated within the past 1–2 years with a major or minor in Risk Management & Insurance, Business, or related fields (other majors welcome!).
  • Excited to work in downtown Indianapolis with a well-established and respected company.
  • Want to deepen their knowledge in claims handling and build a strong foundation in the field.

  • Passionate about giving back through community involvement and volunteer initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • May have prior insurance experience – a plus, but not required.
