About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, compassionate patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses provide care for pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations. The new nursing graduate residency program provides supportive integration from student nurse to professional nurse into the healthcare system according to the American Nurse Association and organizational scope and standards of practice. The program is for any registered nurse with less than 1 year of practice. Our residency program offers potential placement for the medical/surgical department, surgical services, emergency department and the clinic setting. The program allows a combination of organizational orientation/enculturation, online, didactic, simulations, skill set competency, clinical rotations in department(s) and practice-based learning to assist in creating confidence and competence during orientation (in their novice RN roles). The new graduate nurse is willing to learn professional development in communication, teamwork, and resilience with continuous feedback and evaluation. The Nursing Residency is 6-12 months dependent on specialty residency program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
  • Soon to be licensed as registered nurses (can apply), must have active RN license by start of cohort
  • Hands on clinical or in practice nursing experience
  • Unencumbered (Montana) RN Licensure in Montana or other compact state, required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification to be completed within 6 months of hire, if applicable for department
  • TNCC, ENPC certification to be completed within 1 year of hire, if applicable for department
  • Foundational nursing knowledge and skillset's
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Nursing leadership and care collaboration
  • Individuals committed to professional growth and conformed to organizational vision and mission as applied to excellence in patient care
