About The Position
The Patient Care Tech (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. This role also serves as a clinical preceptor to other PCTs and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. The PCT assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Nurse Assistant Course
- Nursing Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support
- Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience
Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient
- Serves as a clinical preceptor to PCT’s
- Is cross-trained to Unit Associate
- Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
