About The Position
The Patient Care Tech (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs. This role also involves serving as a clinical preceptor to other PCTs and being cross-trained to the Unit Associate role. The PCT assists with maintaining a safe and clean unit environment and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant Course.
- Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience.
Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient.
- Serves as a clinical preceptor to PCTs.
- Is cross-trained to Unit Associate.
- Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
