About The Position

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Patient Care Tech I for its Neurology and Urology department. The role renders direct and indirect patient care under the direction of appropriate licensed personnel. It facilitates care to meet patients’ daily living activity needs by providing physical and clerical support, coordinating activities, and communicating effectively. The position also provides personal self-care and activity programs to patients.

Requirements

• Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum: Ability to use computer charting (electronic medical record).

Nice To Haves

• Training as a nursing assistant.
• For GVCH departments, a current CAN certificate is preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
