About The Position

Join our Float Pool and provide expert-level care across two of the following six medical surgical areas: Neuro/Ortho, General Surgery/Trauma/Transplant, Oncology, Telemtry, IMCU & Observation. Job Overview: The Float Pool Patient Care Tech is responsible for delivering high-quality care are across two of the designated Medical Surgical units based on their experience and hospital needs. This role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a strong ability to transition seamlessly between units.

Requirements

High School diploma
At least six months of recent Hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience, which provided knowledge of basic patient-care activities related to Multi-skilled technician duties
Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant Course, or two years of nursing school.

Responsibilities

Performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates.
Position provides direct patient care limited to non-invasive procedures, unless specifically certified in phlebotomy.
