About The Position

As a Patient Care Extender in St. Cloud Hospital’s Emergency Trauma Center (ETC), you will help provide comfort and care to patients in a fast-paced environment alongside healthcare professionals. The role includes cleaning and dressing wounds, starting splints, performing blood draws, and teaching patients to walk with crutches. The ETC has 38 private patient rooms and is a designated Level II Trauma Center with a helipad and ambulance garage. It receives 60,000 visits per year and serves as the premier Trauma Center in Central Minnesota.

This is a full-time, onsite position scheduled for 60 hours every two weeks in 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes every third weekend (Friday through Sunday) and rotating holidays. Starting pay is $20.31 per hour, with a pay range of $20.31–$30.47 per hour based on experience. Additional pay is offered for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card; it can be obtained once hired.

Nice To Haves

• EMT-Basic or Nursing Assistant qualification.
• One year of Emergency Department experience.
