About The Position

As a RN Care Coordinator, you are a central figure in patient care, navigating the healthcare journey to support optimal outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. You take report from a nursing teammate at the start of each shift, make rounds, provide continued care, and perform procedures as detailed in the care plan. The role requires multitasking, responsiveness, continuous patient monitoring, patient advocacy, sound judgment during emergencies, and rapid response. You guide and direct healthcare personnel, including Patient Care Technicians, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

Requirements

Associate of Science in Nursing, upon hire.
Registered Nurse license in Arkansas, upon hire.
Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, upon hire; or admission to a BSN program within 12 months; or obtaining a bachelor's degree within 24 months of assuming the position.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
Anticipate, identify, and respond to the informational and emotional needs of patients and families.
Guide and direct healthcare personnel, including Patient Care Technicians, in caring for patients.
Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, including IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices; use safeguards such as IV pump drug libraries and monitor alarms as necessary.
Initiate emergency support measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and protecting patients from injury.
Assist with patient care tasks, such as emptying drainage devices, ambulating patients, and providing hygiene.
Take report from a nursing teammate, make rounds, provide continued care, and perform procedures according to the care plan.
Continuously monitor patients, advocate for their best interests, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
