About The Position

Heritage Imaging is seeking a compassionate, customer-focused Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support MRI and PET/CT operations while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. In this role, you will work closely with technologists, patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities to facilitate a safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging environment. About Heritage Imaging Heritage Imaging is a leading provider of mobile diagnostic imaging solutions, specializing in MRI, PET, and CT rental services for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare practices across the western United States. The company helps healthcare organizations establish and expand imaging programs by providing equipment, technologists, and ongoing support, serving more than 30,000 patients annually. Location: Forks Community Hospital in Forks, WA Status: Part Time Schedule: Every Other Monday, and Every Tuesday Pay Range: $25-28/hour

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing anxiety, mobility limitations, or other special needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dependable, professional, and patient-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of MA experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, patient care, medical office, or customer service environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or diagnostic imaging processes.
  • Experience working with MRI, PET/CT, radiology, or related healthcare services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and their families throughout their imaging appointment.
  • Explain imaging procedures, answer questions, and provide support before, during, and after exams.
  • Assess patient needs, including mobility, anxiety, and special accommodations.
  • Maintain communication with patients throughout procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Assist claustrophobic or anxious patients using established patient care techniques.
  • Provide post-exam instructions and explain follow-up processes.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transport.
  • Support MRI and PET/CT workflows under the direction of imaging technologists.
  • Complete patient check-in processes, including screening and documentation.
  • Help maintain mobile imaging unit readiness and operational organization.
  • Follow site-specific procedures and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to all MRI safety protocols and patient screening requirements.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and patient safety processes.
  • Follow company policies, facility requirements, and radiation safety guidelines.
