Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work the following rotating schedule: Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am – 6:00pm, Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am – 12:00pm, Week 3: Sunday from 8:00am – 12:00pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 6:00pm, Week 4: Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:45am – 3:15pm, Friday from 9:30am – 6:00pm
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records system

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient registration, verify demographics/insurance, and maintain accurate patient records
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answer phones, manage patient inquiries, communicate delays, and ensure patient needs are met
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments while following provider protocols and patient needs
  • Collect copays and balances, process payments, reconcile cash transactions, and comply with financial policies
  • Route patient concerns, refill requests, and other clinical communications to the appropriate care team
  • Manage work queues, online registrations, patient documentation, forms, and electronic communications within the EMR
  • Maintain forms, process mail and faxes, manage inventory, generate patient correspondence, and support daily clinic operations
  • Utilize EMR and other required systems and applications to support patient access and operational workflows
  • Maintain an organized reception area, monitor patient flow, and support a positive patient experience
