About The Position

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or their designee, the Patient Care Associate 1 is a member of the nursing team who assists with basic patient care and performs activities that facilitate patient flow through operating room spaces. The position may also perform functional assignments defined by the Nurse Manager or designee to facilitate therapeutic services provided to patients. The work involves potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, moderate to heavy lifting of patients and equipment, and spending most of the time walking or standing. The position is onsite at 81 Highland Avenue, with 40 scheduled hours per week on the day shift.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and staff.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting of patients and equipment.
Ability to spend most of the work time walking or standing.
Certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Work involves potential exposure to communicable disease and hazardous materials.
