About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities.
• Knowledge of Federal and New York State patient privacy regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients, providers, and other stakeholders, providing information and assistance.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments to support timely and efficient scheduling.
• Register new and returning patients and collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Take accurate messages and route them to appropriate staff members.
• Enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Troubleshoot patient issues and concerns, escalating issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other relevant compliance standards.
