About The Position

Performs various patient care activities and related duties necessary to care for patients’ personal needs and comfort, and to support the effective and efficient operation of the department. This is a per-diem Float Pool PCA position with a day shift listed as 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and an FTE of 0.2.

Requirements

• High school graduation or GED certificate.
• Completion of a technical program for nursing assistant training, and/or satisfactory completion of academic courses related to fundamentals of nursing, and/or satisfactory completion of an institutional Patient Care Assistant Program.
• Ability to read and write clearly and legibly.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support course.
• Annual completion of established competency requirements.
• Ability to function under stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating personal computers, including software in a Windows environment.
