About The Position
Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for its Nursing Float Pool. The RN works with diverse patient populations across numerous units, departments, and/or locations, collaborating with caregivers to provide patient-centered care throughout the patient care journey. The role includes direct interaction with patients and families, clinical education, and the opportunity to develop nursing and critical-thinking skills. The schedule involves varying night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- One year of current acute-care RN experience in a hospital setting, or licensed military RN experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
