About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant supports comprehensive health care services for patients and families, working with the nursing team and assisting registered nurses and physicians within the scope of nursing practice. The role offers daily variety and problem-solving opportunities while collaborating with nursing staff. The position is 0.75 FTE, on nights, with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington State.
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program may replace the certification requirement; students enrolled in such a program must be registered as a Nurse’s Assistant.
- Successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) course for healthcare providers and a current card.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of institutional patient care experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care as directed by an RN or physician.
- Assist with dressing changes, data gathering, documentation, and vital signs.
- Apply a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and sound decision-making.
- Prioritize duties and use organization and flexibility to complete work.
