About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The assistant performs delegated skills that are within functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age prior to the start date.
- Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not already certified, certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of 12 college credits, or a high school diploma/GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent, is preferred.
