About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role carries out delegated skills within the functions that law permits unlicensed nursing personnel to perform.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old before the start date.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If the candidate does not currently hold this certification, it will be included in the orientation program.
• Be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of 12 college credits, or a high school diploma/GED with successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or equivalent.
