Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Department - PCA

About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The position carries out delegated skills within the functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start date.
- Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not already certified through one of these programs, certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of 12 college credits, or a high school diploma/GED with successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or equivalent, is preferred.
