About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The position is with Lower Bucks Hospital, a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), state-approved certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
- Current EKG certification upon hire.
- Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
