About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This position is at Lower Bucks Hospital, a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care.

Requirements

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
