About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role performs delegated skills within the functions that law permits unlicensed nursing personnel to carry out. The skills and responsibilities closely align with those of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making the position suitable for candidates with CNA experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age before the start date.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not already certified, Basic Life Support certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
• Be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of 12 college credits, or a high school diploma/GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent.
• CNA experience.
