About The Position
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Assistant contributes to patient care activities and related non-professional services needed to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort. Specific tasks may vary depending on the unit or department assigned. This is a PRN position in the Nurse Float Pool at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, with varied shifts. Evening and night shift differentials are listed as $2.00 and $2.50 per hour, respectively; eligibility is subject to company policy or union contract.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required before completion of orientation.
