About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support the nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit and provide bedside care and support to patients in a hospital-based environment. The role is patient-focused and supports the delivery of high-quality care.

The position is in the ICU at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois. It is scheduled for 24 hours per week on day shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.20 per hour; the candidate's actual pay rate will depend on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.

The position requires either one year of nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience, or six months of that experience together with the specified certification. A CNA or PCT certification in the state of practice is required for candidates with six months of experience; it is not required for candidates with more than one year of experience. BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

• One year of nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; alternatively, six months of such experience with the required certification.
• For candidates with six months of experience, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification in the state of practice is required. Certification is not required for candidates with more than one year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
