About The Position
St. Mary's General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for its ICU. The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. St. Mary's General Hospital is a community-based tertiary medical center in Passaic, New Jersey, providing acute care and a broad range of services. The hospital is part of Prime Healthcare.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
