About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant works in the ICU and assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role is performed under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The position is full-time night shift, scheduled for three 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating holidays.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), with state-approved certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
- Current EKG certification upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
