About The Position
On the Inpatient General Surgery unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, the PCA serves as a Nursing Assistant. This part-time position involves 24 hours per week on the Night Shift, with 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.
Requirements
- High School or equivalency certificate is required.
- Current BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 1 year of Nursing Assistant, Clerical Coordinator, or Unit Secretary experience in an Acute In-Patient setting is preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant: Certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Regularly assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring and recording measurements in patients’ charts
- Provide Ambulatory Support to patients, assisting with walking, showers, and other prescribed therapies.
