About The Position
The Patient Care Aide assists a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with patient care tasks that do not require licensure. The aide implements care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. This position is in Oncology at Helen Keller and is PRN, Shift 2.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability and knowledge to perform proper skills and techniques, and attempt to use them when the situation arises.
- Have certification by state exam or former employer, national certification, prior healthcare facility experience, or successful completion of the fundamentals of nursing semester/quarter of nursing school.
- Have CPR certification or the ability to become certified within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
